This summer you will be able to see the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s newest roof garden artwork. The “landscape” painted by Imran Qureshi, who is from Pakistan, is the first work to be painted directly on the rooftop. The work entitled “And How Many Rains Must Fall before the Stains Are Washed Clean,” is in response to the violence that has occurred around the world in recent decades. Personally, I think it looks more like a scene out of Dexter than a work of art but it undoubtedly evokes strong emotions as images from the Boston Marathon are still fresh in our minds.
