Nazi-looted art found in German parliament

Nazi-looted art found in German parliament – two looted works, one by Georg Waltenberger and another by Lovis Corinth, were found in the Bundestag collection.  The interesting part is that both works once belonged to the Gurlitt family.

Still Life with Bird’s Nest.  Here is a beautiful, early British Victorian, still life by William Henry Hunt (1790-1864) that was originally painted in 1830 and sold by the gallery in the 1980s.

The Innocents of Holman Hunt – here is one writer’s take on William Holman Hunt’s The Triumphs of the Innocents.  I, for one, think it is a pretty impressive Pre-Raphaelite work of art.

City Hall Park, New York.  another image of what NYC looked like yesterday … we sold this Guy Wiggins (1883-1962) to a collector on the West Coast in 2007.
