The Lightning. Here is one we just added to the web site by Montague Dawson (1895-1973) … it is on view at the Palm Beach Show today and tomorrow. The Lightning was one of the last really big clipper ship built … also know as extreme clippers. She was launched in 1854 and remained in service until 1869 (when she caught fire and sank in Australia).
