According to an article in the Chicago Tribune, the judge should have his ruling today. What I found very interesting is the appraiser stated that if the work is real it would be worth $6-$8 million; however, if it is not then its value is in the $50-$100K range. $50-$100K for an unknown artist’s work? Really? If that is the case, it will be interesting to see how many other ‘DOIGE’ paintings surface and who owns them? Must be a stash of them somewhere.
