According to Karen Wilkin’s review in The Wall Street Journal, “Habsburg Splendor: Masterpieces From Vienna’s Imperial Collections,” this summer’s exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, is … astonishing. On display, through September 13, is a selection of armor, tapestries, antiquities, ceremonial costumes, portraits and more, much of it never before seen in the U.S., along with some of the most glorious Old Master paintings in the history of art. There are masterpieces by Giorgione, Titian, Correggio, Tintoretto, Caravaggio, Holbein, Velazquez and Rubens on display.
