Really, Another Person Leaves Works In A Parked Car?

March 30, 2021

Tales from the dark sideThis story left me shaking my head in disbelief. It seems that someone in Los Angeles left two paintings by Jack Armstrong, Primalsun #1 and Imagine #3 AKA Elvis Painting (supposedly worth millions of dollars – really?) in a car that they parked on the street for the night.  Are you kidding me?  Someone actually left millions of dollars worth of art in a parked car?  For some reason, this sounds like a publicity stunt.

According to the artist’s website (yes, he is still alive), he founded the Cosmic Extensionalism movement — first time I have heard about that one.  His site claims he has sold work for millions of dollars.  Maybe someday I will meet one of his collectors and find out why?

Anyway, in case you find the stolen work, please call the LAPD at (310) 482-6490 or (877) 527-3247.

By the way, back in 2018, his painting Steve McQueen Le Mans was stolen from a home in Dallas, Texas.  That one is also still missing.
