Daniel Ridgway Knight’s painting On the Terrace, Rolleboise recently surfaced, after about 118 years in hiding, and quickly found a new home.  Over the past 12 to 18 months, we have seen more and more interest in great academic works of art – a number sold before we even had a chance to publically display them.  It seems collectors are realizing that there is a great deal of value in the works of the 19th-century academic masters.
