And just when we thought the Berkshire saga was over, we learn that one lawsuit is still trying.  Last October, James and Kristin Hatt along with Elizabeth Weinberg sued the Berkshire Museum in an attempt to stop the sale of their major works of art.  In November, Judge John Agostini ruled that they lacked legal standing to bring the action.

On September 4th, the trio and their attorney Nicholas O’Donnell, as well as the museum’s attorneys, will each have 15 minutes to present their arguments in the appeals court.  Sadly, most of the really important works they were fighting to keep have already been sold; but maybe they can save a few others that are scheduled to hit the market.  We will keep you posted.
