Maybe they should have obtained the advice of an expert in the field of 19th century paintings before rejecting a $1.2M offer which would have kept the paintings in Jamestown, NY.  Keep an eye out for our upcoming Comments on the Art Market since we will discuss why many of those paintings would never bring the prices expected. All I will say at this time is condition, condition, condition!
