While we are on the ‘fake’ kick … according to Katie French’s article in the Daily Mail, art expert Charles Hope believes a painting of Michelangelo (pictured), currently on display at the National Gallery, is a fake. The gallery said it was probably painted between 1518-20. Charles Hope’s opinion is that the work was painted in the 1950s, shortly before it surfaced on the market.
