“Mural,” a massive 8 x 20 foot painting by Jackson Pollock, is set to go on display at the Getty on March 11th (on display through June 1). According to the Getty, the exhibition will shed some light on a “significant transitional moment” in Pollocks’s career (*Note: this piece was completed prior to Pollock utilizing his signature drip technique). The piece was actually created for Peggy Guggenheim and was allegedly completed in an insane 24-hour studio session.
