Paintings by Richter and Freud to be sold in London Sale – The serious action will start next month — in London: Gerhard Richter’s “Wand (Wall)”, painted in 1994, is expected to bring more than £15 million; Lucian Freud’s “Head on a Green Sofa” carried a £2.5 – £3.5 million estimate; Andy Warhol’s “Mao”, (1973), will carry a £5.5 and £7.5 million estimate and Cy Twombly’s “Untitled (Rome)”, (1964), will be offered at £5 – £7 million.
