In efforts to recover from the biggest U.S. municipal bankruptcy, Detroit has looked into the liquidation of their $1billion+ art collection at the Detroit Institute of Arts. The large sum of money would definitely bring relief to the struggling city, but flooding the market with a high number of masterpieces will cause large problems in the global market.
