‘Orphaned’ Cézanne watercolour surfaces in Ottawa

June 18, 2013

Paul Cezanne’s watercolor, Group of Trees, 1890, is just one of over 600 works once held by French dealer and collector Ambroise Vollard.  Unfortunately, this work is known to have been looted during the Second World War and now investigators must try to find the rightful owner of the work.  Works by Cezanne have reached over $25m at auction.
