Last month, 5/20/2013, I posted on a series of 14 watercolors heading to auction by the prominent Spanish surrealist painter, Salvador Dali. After remaining in a private collection for over 4 decades the works were set to be sold at an estimate of $100,000 at Bonhams. The London auction house held their sale this week and the series fetched over $1.1m.
