Francis Bacon’s paintbrushes expected to fetch £25,000 at London auction – it is amazing to think that some used paint brushes might be worth this sort of money — it will be interesting to see what they actually bring.
In an uncertain Egypt, street artists rein in their outrage – it seems that even the artist (painters, sculptors, musicians, etc.) have toned down their messages … at least for the time being.
Detention. Another from that gallery’s sold archives — a wonderful 19th century British Victorian painting by Charles Hunt (1829-1900) … sold back in the 1980s — about 100 years after it was painted.
