Morris Louis: An Early Leader in Postwar Abstraction – for those who are fans of the Color Field artist Morris Louis, there is a small exhibition of his work at the Baltimore Museum of Art (it runs through February 9). Louis, who died just shy of his 50th birthday, produced about 600 large canvases in less than 12 years. Included in the exhibit are the works donated to the museum in 2011 by the estate of Marcella Louis Brenner (the artist’s widow).
