It is sad to hear that the Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world’s greatest museums, is having financial trouble. Robin Pogrebin’s article brings to light many of the issues facing this great institution … an almost $40 million deficit, staff layoffs and buyouts, expansion efforts postponed, etc.
