Source: Un coin de ferme avec poules – Between 1876 and 1882 Julien Dupre painted a total of 56 works. Early paintings by the artist rarely appear on the market and we are pleased to offer this outstanding example from the period. Our research indicates that this is most likely the painting he titled Un coin de ferme avec poules which was completed in the spring of 1881 (number 37 in his account book) and sold to Goupil in June for 1500ff. For those of you who are fans of the artist’s work, I think you will really enjoy this unique masterwork.
