What is it like to work as a painting authenticator?

A very short story about Dr. Elize Maza and her job as an art authenticator.  According to the article, Dr. Maza states that the procedure can take anything from an hour to a year.   What I can tell you, from someone who deals with this all the time, is that there is a great deal of ‘bad’ art out there … especially in the higher priced levels.  If you are dealing with very knowledgeable people, there is little to worry about.  What is nice to know, is that there are people, other than art dealers, who make this their full time occupation.  For the full article, click HERE.
