Will A Contemporary Japanese Painter Save The Market for Traditional European Art?

Hiroshi Furuyoshi - Amelie

Hiroshi Furuyoshi – Amelie

Last year, at this time, we received our first work by Hiroshi Furuyoshi, and it sold before it even arrived at the gallery.  Since then, we have received four additional paintings … three of which sold the day they arrived at the gallery.  Now, we are very pleased to be able to present Hiroshi’s Amelie … a spectacular example of the artist’s work.

A couple of weeks ago, Barden Prisant stopped by to discuss a historical work of art and noticed Hiroshi’s painting hanging in the gallery.  He was so taken by the painting’s size, quality, and the fact that it continues the tradition our gallery is know for — promoting academic works of art, both old and new — that he wanted to write an article about the artist and his work for Forbes.com.  We trust you will enjoy it.
