Anish Kapoor

We all know that artists want the viewer to connect with their work, but this work (and a viewer) went a bit too far.  Anish Kapoor created an 8-foot hole titled Descent Into Limbo at the Serralves Foundation in Porto, Portugal.  He then painted it with a black pigment so it looked like a flat circle on the floor.  Guess what?  A museum-goer fell in and sustained minor injuries to his back.  It just might be time for better safety measures.  Ahh, the dangers of Contemporary Art … watch your step.
