Even though Christie’s claimed that Salvator Mundi was the last da Vinci in private hands, it appears that there are at least two, and maybe three, more: The Madonna of the Yarnwinder, which is on view at the National Galleries of Scotland; The Lansdowne Madonna which was last sold in 1999 by Wildenstein; and rumors of a third. Will one of these lucky collectors decide to cash in? We shall see.
