Laolu Senbanjo Is Beyoncé’s Lemonade Artist

April 28, 2016

Unless you have been hiding under a rock, you know that Beyonce’s “Lemonade” has taken the media by storm this week.  Becoming the anthem to anyone scorned by a loved one, it is almost impossible to scroll through your Instagram, Twitter or Facebook without a post referencing a song from her latest smash hit.  No, I am not going to start quoting Queen B, but I am going to introduce you to Laolu Senbanjo, the artist who transformed the bodies of her dancers for “Sorry” into beautiful works of art.  The African born artist left his life as a human rights lawyer in Nigeria to follow his passion for the arts in Brooklyn.  Each of his pieces are strongly influenced by his heritage … bringing together elements of tribal design, bright colors, and identifiable symbolism.  Even Vogue is saying he is their “new Instagram obsession.”
