Another potential discovery of a long lost painting by a great Old Master — Caravaggio. According to the family, more than 150 years ago and ancestor, who was an officer in Napoleon’s army, brought the work back from his campaigns. It is likely, that due to its rather gory subject matter, the painting was relegated to the attic and until a leak in the roof appeared, nobody seems to have gone into the area.
