After having the chance to attend Art Basel for the first time a few weeks ago, I walked away feeling overwhelmed and confused (that’s actually an understatement). There was so much “stuff,” so many people and all of the hype and news was so hard to believe. While Glen Coco of Vice News is fairly direct with his assessment, I have to admit that many of the same sentiments filtered through my head while I was walking through the seemingly endless shows in Miami. The art world is a strange strange place today.
