Barrymore Scherer gives us a quick overview of the current exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. According to Scherer, “The Wrath of the Gods: Masterpieces by Rubens, Michelangelo, and Titian” is an intimate, richly complex show featuring 19 works, including important loans from the Prado, the British Museum and other major collections. Together in a single gallery, they reveal the visual and cultural threads that Rubens wove into the fabric of his youthful inspiration. The exhibition runs through December 6.
