Asia has shown great demand for contemporary works over the past few years and the market may be as hot as ever right now. This past weekend featured over $1 billion worth of art on display at Art Basel Hong Kong and dealers had incredible stories to tell. In fact, one gallery sold out their entire inventory (only 7 works) to new collectors before the VIP opening and had to spend the weekend talking down disappointed clients and potential buyers.
