Street artist Invader responds after his art is wiped from Hong Kong’s walls

Street art has gained immense publicity over the past years leading artists to tour the world and stamp the cities with their mark.  One artist, known as Invader, uses mosaic tiles glued to walls as his chosen medium.  After returning to Hong Kong for the third time to “gift” the city walls with his art, the Highways Department of Hong Kong removed his artwork shortly after it was finished. Not only was Invader upset about this action but the city was as well.  China has been promoting the arts strongly and many believe street art like Invader’s should be welcomed instead of removed.  After hearing about the deconstruction, Invader expressed his feelings to city officials, the letter written can be found using the link below.
