Old master of the faked paintings that sell for £250 – here is another story from the Dark Side of the art world. Bill Harbord has been selling fake paintings for the past 50 years from his stalls all over London.
Each work is signed, made to look old and sells between £45 – £250. He claims there is no harm since the works are very inexpensive … but I am sure some people have thought they were getting the bargain of a lifetime.
