Chinese Buyers Push Christie’s Auction to $493 Million – and the market in China is still sizzling hot.  The six day sale was expected to bring in about HK$2 billion and ended up totaling HK$3.82 billion.  Included were recording-breaking price for a case of  Romanee-Conti 1978 – HK$3.675 million, a Qing dynasty porcelain jar at HK$64.52 million and a Patek Philippe wristwatch that brought HK$4.24 million.
