Happy Birthday to the painter, sculptor and film maker, Niki de Saint Phalle! Saint Phalle was greatly influenced by the work of Antonio Gaudi while in Barcelona and is best known for here ‘Nana‘ works in which she explored various roles of women via painted plaster sculptures. Her highest selling work at auction was in 2006 for her “Ana Lena en Grece” for over $1 million.
