Phillips Sale Ends $241 Million Contemporary-Art Marathon – the last Contemporary sale of the season. This was a small sale of just 26 lots and the total take was £12.3M (low end of the estimate was £11.9M — so they only made it with the buyer’s commission added in). There are just too many sales and not enough ‘top end’ material coming to the market.
