Along the Canal. a lovely painting by the 19th century Spanish artist Martin Rico y Ortega that we sold a few years ago. Martin was born in Spain and received his early training their, before heading to Paris in 1860. He remained in France until the 1870s, at which time he settled in Venice where he remained for the rest of his life.
