Work Outstanding in Its Field | Mark di Suvero | Crissy Field – The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art will be closing down from now through 2016 for a massive expansion so its director, Neal Benezra, was looking for exhibitions that were outside-the-box (in other words, exhibitions that could take place outside the museum). After seeing another show of di Suvero’s work in 2011 he came up with the ides for Mark di Suvero at Crissy Field. The exhibit, running through May, 2014, features 8 large sculptures that have been spaced out in the park which overlooks the Golden Gate Bridge.
