Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Dia:Beacon, the art exhibition space, finally feels they have created a museum they can call home. Within the past four years annual visitorship has increased by 18% and continues to grow as art lovers come to view sculptures, paintings and conceptual arts from well known artists like Micheal Heizer, John Chamberlain and Richard Serra. Furthermore, the most important acquisition for Dia:Beacon occurred last month when they gained ownership of 30 works from the Lannan Foundation. Several works in their newly acquired collection are by iconic artists such as Robert Smithson, Donald Judd, Lawrence Weiner and Agnes Martin.
