Everyone, smile on 3…1 ,2… “Uhh, excuse me, no pictures please.”
I think we are all sick of hearing that when we want to document our adventures through the most epic collections of art as we visit world renowned museums. Well, it seems times are changing and we may not have to sneak a picture when the security guard is distracted by a field trip of noisy kids. Museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the National Gallery of Art, and the Getty Museum are just a few examples of where you will be allowed to use your camera without being hassled. In the past there have been strict limitations due to light-sensitive works and copyright issues, but in today’s society where everyone compulsively snaps pictures on their cell phones, museums admit they are fighting an uphill battle.
