A pupil of the esteemed artist William Bouguereau, Perrault’s work was characterized by its meticulous technique and adherence to the traditional values of the Academic style, emphasizing realism and idealized beauty. His paintings often depicted tender and sentimental subjects, particularly focusing on children and young women, capturing their innocence and emotion with a delicate touch.
