Jose Carlos Bergantiños Diaz, Suspect in Art Swindle, Is Arrested in Spain  – this Knoedler mess has now gone international.  The swindle, officials have said, was carried out with Mr. Bergantiños’s girlfriend, Glafira Rosales, who was charged last May and pleaded guilty in September in the scheme.  More than $33 million was transferred to Mr.  Bergantiños’s accounts in Spain.
