Swan Song

Charcoal and pastel on paper
16 x 19 inches

The term Swan Song originally was derived from the legend that swans were mute for the rest of their lives. Although, the swan will sing beautifully and mournfully right before they die. Many musicians use the term swan song before retirement or a last performance as a final gesture and effort.
