I Shot and Arrow into the Air
Charcoal and pastel on paper
13 x 13 inches
“I shot an arrow into the air, it landed I know not where; a nursery rhyme for the age of space,” quoted by an officer in a 1960's episode of “The Twilight Zone”. In many science fiction stories the human race has been portrayed to act in violent impulses out of fear of the unknown. Has our society evolved to have the trust and courage needed to face the undiscovered?
