Police in southern Italy have seized almost 600 illegally excavated artifacts intended to be sold on the black market. \u00a0These well preserved artifacts included, ancient Greek ceramics ranging from a large Greek krater estimated to be worth around \u20ac150,000 to small pieces valued at \u20ac1,500, Etruscan and Corinthian objects, rare coins, and several Roman lanterns. \u00a0All the artifacts were to sell for a total of about \u20ac2million.<\/p>\n
