Spotting\u00a0what he believed to be an unsigned work by\u00a0the 18th century artist\u00a0Vernet on Le Bon Coin, he offered the seller\u00a0\u20ac700. \u00a0The deal was accepted and once the work arrived at his home, Ziani&#8217;s 11-year-old son spotted a faint signature &#8216;A. Renoir 1864&#8217; on the canvas&#8230;leading Ziani to do some much needed research. \u00a0Since, the painting was\u00a0sent to a specialist lab in Bordeaux where paint chips were confirmed to be of the same pigments used by Renoir\u00a0during that period&#8230; Could this be <em>Soir d&#8217;Ete<\/em>?<em> &#8212;\u00a0<\/em>the long-lost Paris Salon painting\u00a0done when Renoir was just 23-years-old. \u00a0While the authentication has not been officially confirmed yet, it looks as if Ziani&#8217;s &#8221; \u20ac700 Vernet&#8221; may turn out to be\u00a0a multi-million euro Renoir.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/Cht2tlKXEAEGDAK.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/Cht2tlKXEAEGDAK.jpg\" alt=\"Cht2tlKXEAEGDAK\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After\u00a0to\u00a0losing his job as a mechanic, Ahmed Ziani began buying and selling art.
