Lots of people chiming in on the state of the art market and where it goes from here. None of us have a crystal ball and most of this comes down to a ‘gut feeling’ … and, of course, how the world economies do in 2016.
I can tell you that we, those if us who are in the trenches, still see a great deal of interest in the mid and upper level artists … which is a very good sign. As for the auction rooms, their success or failure will be predicated on the available material.
