Here is a great story about a resourceful and determined museum director. Charles de Mooij wanted to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Bosch with a show that brought together all of his surviving works. The interesting part is that his small museum had nothing to offer on loan in return. In the end, he was able to borrow 39 of the 50 — not bad.
