Here is another story of greed. An unidentified 56 year old man was arrested for attempting to sell a fake van Gogh painting. The seller claimed the work was a study for van Gogh’s “The Harvest” and that he had papers from the Van Gogh Museum proving its authenticity.
One potential buyer contacted the museum to confirm that they had in fact authenticated the work, which they had not, and then the whole scam unraveled. To read more, click HERE.
