In Greek mythology, the vestigial siren is part-bird and part-woman whose song lures men to their destruction. Vestiges I traces the historical archetype of women as depicted in literature and art as dangerous seducer of men. In Vestiges I, beautiful bird-song is combined with physical beauty in order to subjugate and overcome the male victim.
