Super Bowl XLIX: Clark Art Museum wagers Winslow Homer seascape on New England Patriots win

January 29, 2015

Super Bowl betting museum style! The Clark Art Institute will root on the New England Patriots in hopes of keeping their Homer masterpiece, “West Point, Prout’s Neck” at home in the museum.  If the Patriots loose to the Seattle Seahawks, the painting will be sent over to the west coast for three months at the Seattle Art Museum.  However, if the Patriots win, the Seattle Art Museum will honor their side of the wager and send the Clark Art Institute Bierstadt’s “Puget Sounds on the Pacific Coast” for three months.
