Renoir Girl Mystery Continues

May 6, 2013

Renoir painting and magnifying glassMarcia Fuqua shocked the public when news came out that her small $7 purchase at the flea market was an authentic Renoir that could fetch $75,000 at auction.  The small painting was stolen 60 years ago from the Baltimore Museum, and the work’s whereabouts have been unknown since then.  An ex-boyfriend of the “Renoir Girl” claims he had seen the painting decades ago in her home.  The painting is being held by the FBI until the federal judge in Alexandria determines the rightful owner.
