BIOGRAPHY - Leo Mancini-Hresko (Born 1981)
Leo Mancini-Hresko (b. 1981, Boston, Massachusetts) is a contemporary realist painter whose work is rooted in direct observation and traditional studio practice. After beginning his studies at the Art Institute of Boston, he continued his training in Florence at The Florence Academy of Art, where he later taught for several years and served as director of the drawing program for sculptors. Now based in Waltham, Massachusetts, Mancini-Hresko paints both in the studio and outdoors, often preparing his own materials and working with hand-ground pigments. His paintings are known for their attention to atmosphere, surface, and the expressive qualities of paint, and his work can be found in private collections internationally.
